Best Disney Easter Basket Ideas for Kids: Disney-Themed

Easter is just around the corner and can be an exciting time of year for kids and parents! The weather starts to give us hints of warm days and flowers start to bloom! And like most families, you are gearing up for that beloved Disney trip during the summer months.

Let’s build a disney-themed Easter basket that is sure to put a smile on your little princess or Star Wars Jedi, especially if you are headed to the Disney parks!

This post may include affiliate links and I may earn commission if you make a purchase through these links.

We’ll start with items to fill the basket, share some easter basket filler, and explore some Disney Easter basket options. Together we will create the perfect Easter basket!

Items for In the Parks

Plenty of goodies and adorable options:

Stickers: What kid doesn’t like stickers, and at this price point they will provide endless fun as a great addition for water bottles, paper, or putting on their shirt!

Water Bottle: Simple Modern water bottles are my favorite for the kids to take to the park and they have plenty of cute designs with favorite characters your kids will love!

Bubble Wand: These bubble guns have a ton of options from classic characters to princesses.

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Disney Fan: These fans will keep you cool in the park during the warmer weather, are rechargeable and have several speeds. My kiddos especially love the key ring on the back for an easy hold.

Minnie Mouse Ears: These ears are perfect for littles ones, they even come with matching pigtail clips. Your little one can have 2 sets or use them as a mommy and me set! Or you could always do a Mickey Mouse ear hat! You could get bunny ears but Mickey ears will serve better purpose for longer!

Bumpkins Bag: I LOVE these bags for the kiddos tiny toys or even meal bags and they offer several fun Disney prints.

Kids Fanny Pack: If you have older kids that want more responsibility over their items, these fanny packs are SO cute for your kiddo to wear. There is a Mickey & a Minnie version!

Wet Bags: Disney has splash pads and rides that you or your kids might get wet. Having these bags to put the kids wet clothes in helps to prevent everything in the park bag or diaper bag from getting wet. These might be more for you than the kids but no one needs to know this! Plus they could always double as a toy bag.

Toddler with finger puppet toys

Finger Puppets: My kids go CRAZY over these. These fit perfectly in your Bumpkins Bags and great for the kids to pull out during long lines, breaks or at the dining table.

Disney Figures: In addition to the finger puppets, my kids also love these figures to play with (especially with my next suggestion!)

Play-Doh! Key Chain: Does this even need an introduction? The kids like to use these at the table when we are waiting for our food. They will also use these as a base to manipulate the stick figures that I shared above. These keychains are great because when the PlayDoh dries out you can just reuse the keychain and insert a new mini PlayDoh tub.

Snacks: What kid doesn’t get excited when they see snacks in their basket?! I suggest buying a box and putting one or two in the basket so they can eat those now and save the rest for the trip! Two birds, one stone!

To Wear to the Parks:

Some of my favorite options to buy my kiddos clothes from include Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Old Navy.

Shirts: These shirts are colorful without being crazy. There are plenty of options with princesses and Marvel.

Character and Princess Dresses: My daughter has this Jessie dress and it is not only the CUTEST but also the most practical. (I love a good Toy Story dress up theme) I’m always a fan for practical style. Most princess dresses are itchy, hot and have pixie dust. This one is made of a kid friendly material and super comfy for the kiddos to actually wear all day. There are plenty of options option too!

Mickey Crocs: These Crocs are so much fun! They even light up. Just make sure you break them in before you head to the parks. Nothing is worse than packing brand new shoes for a Disney trip.

Native Disney Shoes: These shoes are perfect for the Florida weather. Since they are made of a similar material to crocs, they dry out quickly! So you can wear them in the splash pad or if it rains ad they will be just fine!

Swimsuits: Disney has plenty of great splash pads in the parks as well as the pools at their resorts. I try to bring a suit that has a rash guard for sun protection. I also aim for bright suits so I can easily spot the kids.

Fun Baskets:

Now that we have our items you can decide what size of basket to use! You can always go with a basic wicker basket – Target has great options! Or I’ll share a few creative easter basket ideas below.

Perfect for a princess

Mickey Mouse

Large Jelly Basket: Great for holding toys or beach gear!

Extra Large Rope Basket

Backpack: Now hear me out! If you’re looking for a travel bag for the plane, stuff a backpack and their basket! Now I call that purposeful!

Eggs & Filler:

Finally, stuff up the empty space with fillers!

Cute little eggs, with a purpose

Play-Doh: We’re huge Play-Doh fans. How awesome are these Play-Doh eggs! Use this to refill the Play-Doh keychain!

Paper Filler: This paper helps the basket items stay put a bit better.

To fill the basket I start with the bottom. I usually use crumbled paper bags and put paper filler on top, then arrange the items. When arranging the items start with larger square items as the base then fill in items surrounding. Place the small eggs, and any snacks and candy last. Finally, step back and admire your work, Easter Bunny! If you post it to social media I completely support your choice to gloat your work and be sure to tag me, @BibbidiBobbidiBestie
