What is the Disney CAMP experience?
The story is that you joined Mickey and his pals at camp. They’re getting ready for a party – Mickey’s birthday to be specific! They take you on a journey through rooms with larger-than-life objects, this is after being accidentally shrunk Goofy. Will you be able to unshrink yourself and make it out before Mickey’s party?
Come along as I lead you through the experience. As your bestie, I promise not to provide too many spoilers!

How do I get tickets to the CAMP experience?
First, I highly suggest booking in advance online. There are only so many (about 22) tickets per time slot – which I like so that it is not too crowded! Time slots are about every 40 minutes. Popular times/days are more expensive but still reasonably priced given the experience. Kids under 2 are free, adult and children prices vary. Prices range from $28-$42 per person. You can buy tickets at the door, but they are subject to availability.

What to expect at the Disney CAMP
when you arrive
You’ll be greeted with the familiar Disney guest services you experience at the parks. Show them your reservation qr code, they will check you in and get you a friendship bracelet that designates your reserved time slot. Naturally, they suggest you leisure about the store filled with Disney goodies and toys.

During your reserved time slot at disney camp
Once they round up all the guests for your time slot, they will reveal that the shelving with toys isn’t actually shelving but a magic door. And YOU have to create the magic to open it!
Once the door opens you’re lead to camp where you even have your very own camp counselors. The counselors do an AMAZING job bringing life to the experience! Once at camp you’ll visit the characters via digital animation – have your camera ready, this is SO cool!

Goofy has accidentally shrunk the guests down to the size of a crayon! Your camp counselors will lead you through several rooms in search of tokens to get things back to normal before Mickey’s party. The rooms are truly immersive and interactive. Behind the magic door you’ll experience gigantic popcorn, a second story slide, life size alphabet soup, and the coolest dance floor you’ve ever seen!

Our counselor knew the kiddos names by the time we left and it made the journey that much more personable!
Once you make it back to Mickey’s party you get to sing happy birthday and have a dance party with Mickey, his pals, the counselors, and all the guests in your group.
What happens when you’re done?
when your time slot at disney’s camp comes to an end
You won’t even realize how quickly the time passed because you’d been having so much fun! After the dance party you’re lead to an exclusive Disney shopping opportunity that has all the best Disney souvenirs you’d find on Main Street. Did I buy some? Yes, of course I did.
TIP: Sign up for emails with CAMP and get 10% off your in-store purchase!

I also loved that they had toys out for the kids to play with and an animation station for sketching. Along with the cutest table set up for Mickey’s birthday.
Before you leave Disney’s camp
Go check out their cafe area. There’s a drink and snack menu with ice cream. But for an extra charge they also offer hands-on activities like:
- Paint your own ceramic or wooden toy
- Beaded jewelry
- DIY party light
- Make your own slime
- Spin art
- Paper mache
Prices for those activities ran between $15-$45. There were several cast members on-hand to help guide you through the activities.

TIP: Take advantage of the MemoryMaker
Tucked away in the corner was the cutest photo booth. We asked a cast member for a token & she handed us one at no charge (though it could have been because we purchased from the store). So we walked away with a sweet little keepsake among the great memories.
Do I recommend visiting Disney’s Mickey & Friends: An Extra Big Adventure at CAMP?
How do I say yes without screaming it? YES!
This was such a fun experience with my littles. I was able to take my two wild toddlers by myself and we had a great time! I would 100% do it again and we plan to attend the Encanto experience as well!
TIPS:

Enjoy the drive home because it is almost guaranteed that your little one will nap on the way home. Mine were so tired out, they slept the whole way home!
Locations span coast to coast, and they are only in town for a limited time. Check the CAMP website to see when they will be near you! The Dallas location will be here until late January.
