What to expect with the newest Fantasmic Show
Ya’ll! We’ve been waiting for it and the infamous Fantasmic show is making it’s public debut back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Of course, cast members got an exclusive preview of the amazing, newly imagineered show. And from what I hear, it does NOT disappoint!
What can i expect at the new show?
The initial look & storyline of Fantasmic haven’t changed much BUT the details of it totally has! This show includes more of a heroic energy as we follow along with some new characters.
Guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat, packed with action, newly added music tracks, and recently upgraded lighting & sound system!
who can you expect to see?
Aladdin and Mulan bring the punch with energizing scenes.
Elsa provides a strong sense of stage presence with her magical music.
What would this water assisted show be with out our most recent water warrior – Moana?!
Welcome to the Fantasmic family, Mirabel! You’ll catch glimpses of Encanto’s Mirabel, Quasimodo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame, among Tiana, Tarzan and more being cast on the mesmorizing water feature.
And what is the Fansatmic journey without Mickey himself!

Alright, now the details on securing the best spot!
- Show times: 8:00pm & 9:30pm
- Seating begins 90 min BEFORE the show starts
- Subject to cancellation due to inclement weather
- NOT offered with Genie+
While it is currently not offered with Genie+, there is anticipation that is could be offered in the near-ish future.
You have 2 options for seating:
- Purchase a Fantasmic Dining Package. This can run $22+ for kids and $49+ for adults. This allows you an entree + appetizer or dessert + drink at select restaurants. The BEST PART – you get a reserved seating voucher for Fantasmic. Like it’s guaranteed! Do know that like most reservations, you’ll have to book this soon in advance and they are likely to get booked within seconds!
- Wait in line. With doors opening 90 min before, you’ll need to get in line even EARLIER (say 30-60 min before door open). If you choose this option, I suggest grabbing your meal from a quick service location and eating it in line.
Depending on your budget and priorities, will determine your choice of option 1 or 2.
Personally, we typically eat at a sit down restaurant for dinner, so we’d be doing this anyways – why not splurge for the Fantasmic dining package with a guaranteed spot.
What’s the best spot in the house?
While there’s no “bad” seat in the house – there are definitely preferred seats! Remember the Fantasmic dining package I shared earlier? Well, that’s obviously going to be the best seat in the house. Situated in the center sections, not too high up, not too far down. It’s the perfect viewing location.
If you didn’t opt for the Fantasmic dining package or just couldn’t get one because it’s sold out, no worries, I would stay clear of the very front – especially with small kiddos. You’ll want to be towards the middle to upper-middle sections. The biggest reason why – your kid might freak out with all the effects so you might have to make a mad dash for the exit. Also, too far to the front means you don’t see the all-encompassing action; thus too far back and you’ll see it ALL including the distracting bubble wands and everyone’s phone filming the awesome show.
